Every June, the ARRL sponsors Field Day, when clubs and individuals set up stations at temporary locations. As we have done the past three years, the Club will set up operations in Penn Forest Recreational Park on 903 on June 27th and 28th 2026, the number of transmitters to be determined. The coordinates of our station are 40.92769° N, 75.69486° W, if you want to put it in your GPS. In 2023, we made 168 contacts and achieved a score of 620. In 2024 we made 272 contacts and our score was 918. Even more significant was the increase in participants from 7 in 2023 to 20 for 2024. In 2025 we had a good turnout and another nice weather weekend for Field Day. This year's Field Day theme is "Amateur Radio: A National Resource." Come join us this year for another great Field Day weekend!

 CLUB BREAKFAST

The next breakfast will be June 6th at the Beacon 443, starting at 9 AM.

Parking is a little bit of a challenge but most managed to park in the lot. Please let Donna know by Thursday if you plan to attend breakfast at either dkattner@ptd.net or text to 570-952-4058.

HANDS ON NIGHT

Hands on Night for May will be held on Thursday 7 May 2026, 7:00 P.M. at the Carbon County EOC radio room.

We will be working on removing the UPS from the power rack to investigate why the unit is in alarm. We suspect the batteries are in failure and will remove and identify them for replacement.
Also, we plan to demonstrate the 600 watt linear amplifier the club sold.
As always, all are invited to join us, and or operate the W3HA station.
